This organization seeks to maintain the highest quality of life possible for senior residents in our county by preserving their dignity, enriching their self-esteem, empowering them to be as productive as possible, and assisting each individual to remain independent in their home, and in their community

For Public Transit Riders
Information For Public Transit Riders: All riders will be required to pay to ride the public transit bus or van. These are mandatory charges and must be paid when getting on the bus. The driver is NOT permitted to give credit to anyone.
A RIDE SEGNMENT IS ANYTIME YOU GET ON THE BUS
The only Ride segments that is NO charge is From Wheatland Activities Building to the Wheatland Main Center and From Main Center back to Activities.
The FEE Schedule for ALL OTHER Ride Segments are as follows:
60 years or older $1.00 Per Ride Segment
Disabled and under 60 years $1.00 Per Ride Segment
General Public 13-60 years $2.00 Per Ride Segment
Children under 12 years $1.00 Per Ride Segment
All rides MUST be scheduled through Dispatch, 322-3424 in Wheatland and 836-2777 in Guernsey. You cannot get on the bus and request to be taken somewhere else. If you cannot keep your ride appointment, YOU MUST call to cancel.
Our Driver may NOT do snow removal. Please ensure that you have a safe pathway to the bus. The driver cannot be expected to deliver messages. Our Driver cannot go into your home. If you are grocery shopping, please limit your purchases to what you can carry. The driver may carry one or two bags to the door for you, but then you must carry those bags inside.
Our Driver will treat each rider the same as the last rider. They may show-up within a 15-minute window of your scheduled ride. At the destination, they will unload you and then will leave for their next appointment. When you are ready to be picked up, call Dispatch, and the driver will return for you. You may be waiting for a return ride, so it’s advised to wait inside until the bus arrives.
Our demand for assistance for those with wheelchairs, and walkers has increased. This means our time spent with each client is more and the number of available rides is less. Please plan ahead and schedule early.
